American Chemical Society
PROPOSED BYLAWS CHANGES
The Constitution & Bylaws Committee of the ACS has informed the South Carolina Section that the bylaws of our section are out of date and needed amending. The bylaws were last amended in 2013. The South Carolina Local Section Executive Committee now presents to the members of the section a vote to approve or disapprove of the changes.
The deadline for casting your ballot is 5 p.m. ET Thursday August 1. Your ballot will be delivered via email on July 3.
You may view the proposed bylaws as well as the current bylaws.
The major changes are moving from one-year terms to two year-terms for the section officers and to allow student members and affiliates greater opportunities to participate.
If you have questions, please contact one of the members of the Executive Committee.
